This year’s IDU User Conference took place in Cape Town, South Africa just over a week ago on the 28th& 29th February.
The theme of the conference was Empowered Financial Management. Posters and creative around the venue took a very playful look at how inside every suit lurks a superhero, and with the right tools, you are able to harness your true power and potential.
An impressive line up of guest speakers included Chantell Ilbury, scenario strategist and co-author of The Mind of a Fox with Clem Sunter. Craig Pedersen owner of TCG Forensics and a Certified Fraud Examiner, who shared his experience on the powerful capabilities of Open Source Intelligence and how it has helped solve complex financial and criminal investigations. We were also thoroughly entertained by funny man and host of Espresso Gareth Woods.
Kevin Phillips, CEO of IDU Holdings gave feedback on the company’s growth and recent successes. He announced some exciting new international partnerships as well as going through the IDU Development Roadmap for the coming year.
Delegates were introduced to the new Financial Modelling Module, a virtual assistant called ADA who is waiting in the wings to meet you as well as some amazing new enhancements to existing functionality in the system.
IDU Experts ran a series of Master Classes on Activity Budgeting, Employee Remuneration Budgeting, Reporting and Analytics as well as on Cash Flow and Balance Sheet Budgeting.
After a long day of sessions, guests had a whale of a time networking at the dinner function at the Two Oceans Aquarium.
This year was the 11thAnnual User Conference and we are delighted to say that we had the best turn out to date. With over 120 delegates representing over 45 companies and from 7 different countries.
